Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Urban Terra Care (“we,” “our,” “us”). By booking our services, you (“the client”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Property Maintenance
The client must ensure the property is tidy and free from obstacles (e.g., toys, furniture, hoses, equipment) before each scheduled service. If items remain on the lawn, Urban Terra Care may:
- Mow/trim around them; or
- Move them, where safe to do so.
An additional fee may apply for time spent clearing obstacles.
2. Scope of Services
Services include, but are not limited to:
- Regular lawn mowing (residential & commercial)
- Edging along driveways, footpaths, and garden beds
- Whipper snipping
- Lawn fertilisation and weed control
- Seasonal lawn rejuvenation
- Garden maintenance
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Leaf blowing and green waste removal
- Garden tidy-ups
- End-of-lease or pre-sale garden clean-ups
- Rubbish and green waste collection (small loads)
- Gutter cleaning (single-storey homes only)
- Outdoor surface cleaning (sweeping, light pressure wash)
Exclusions: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, services do not include:
- Garden beds
- Paved/stone areas
- Hazardous waste removal
- Areas not reasonably considered part of the lawn
- We will collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials as agreed in your quote or service order. Any waste removal services beyond what is specified may incur additional charges.
3. Access to Property
Clients must provide safe and unrestricted access during agreed service times. If access is denied (e.g., locked gates, unsafe conditions), a call-out fee equal to the scheduled service may be charged.
Clients must ensure safe and clear access to waste materials for our team and vehicles. If blocked or difficult access (e.g., steep terrain, locked gates) prevents removal, extra labour or call-out fees may apply
4. Pets and Animals
- Pets must be secured prior to service.
- Urban Terra Care does not handle, manage, or supervise pets.
- If unsecured pets prevent safe service, we may refuse or stop work, and a cancellation/call-out fee will apply.
- We accept no liability for injury, escape, or harm to pets caused by unsecured conditions.
5. Animal Waste
Clients must remove pet waste before service. If waste is present:
- Service may be paused or refused; and
- The client remains liable for the full scheduled fee.
6. Hazardous Conditions
The client must ensure there are no hazardous or undisclosed conditions (e.g., hidden pipes, sharp objects, holes). Urban Terra Care is not liable for injury, damage, or costs arising from such hazards.
7. Weather Conditions
For safety reasons, services may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather (e.g., heavy rain, storms, extreme heat). Clients will be notified, and services rearranged at the next available time.
8. Pricing and Quotes
- Pricing is based on property size, terrain, frequency, and specific tasks.
- Written quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
- Work outside the agreed scope will incur additional charges.
9. Payment Terms
- Payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed.
- Direct deposit: up to 3 business days.
- NDIS clients: 7–10 business days.
- Late payments may attract interest or late payment fees.
10. Late Payments
- Overdue invoices attract a $10 late fee per 10-day period.
- Services may be suspended or terminated until payment is made.
11. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule a booking.
- Same-day cancellations may incur a call-out fee.
- Missed or delayed services may result in additional charges due to excessive grass growth or required clean-up.
12. Property Damage
Urban Terra Care takes reasonable care to prevent damage. However, the client acknowledges that minor incidental damage (e.g., small stone flicks, lawn scalping) may occur in normal operations. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage; or
- Accidental/unavoidable damage beyond our reasonable control.
13. Waste Removal
- Green waste will be placed in the client’s bin unless otherwise agreed.
- Large volumes requiring off-site disposal will attract additional fees.
- Tip / Disposal Fees
Tip fees (also known as disposal or landfill fees) are not included in our quoted rate. You will be responsible for any tip fees incurred at the disposal facility. These fees will be invoiced separately. - Only the types of waste specified in your agreement will be collected. We do not take hazardous, toxic, or prohibited materials unless special arrangements are made. Compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations is required. If contaminated or unwanted materials are presented, they may be refused or attract additional fees.
14. Customer Satisfaction
Concerns must be raised within 24 hours of service completion. Urban Terra Care will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues promptly.
15. Non-Payment & Debt Collection
Urban Terra Care reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate services for non-payment; and
- Engage debt collection or legal proceedings for unpaid accounts.
The client agrees to pay all reasonable collection costs, legal fees, and associated expenses.
16. Insurance
Urban Terra Care holds valid Public Liability Insurance. Evidence of cover is available upon request.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or receiving services, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
18. Liability
Urban Terra Care takes all care during waste removal but accepts no responsibility for damage caused by hidden hazards, poor site conditions, or pre-existing property damage.
